Adekunle Adegbite ADEKUNLE ADEGBITE LLB, LLM, BL, MILR (MANAGING PARTNER) 

Mr. Adekunle Adegbite attended the Ogun State University between 1984-1988 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He obtained his masters degree in law in 1996 from the University of Lagos. He also holds a masters degree in industrial and labour relations from the same University. He is a student member of both the Institute of Chartered Secrataries and Administrators and the Institute of Personnel Management.Prior to joining the patnership, he had worked variously with Citi-trust Merchant Bank, Gateway Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank where he was well exposed to the company secretarial/legal, corporate banking, credit administration and credit recovery aspects of banking.He also acquired legal training from the firm of Osaheni Uzamere & Co in Benin City and with Messrs. Shopeju & Co in Lagos from where he joined CANAAN SOLICITORS.
Lawrence Balogun
LAWRENCE BALOGUN LLB, BL (HEAD OF CHAMBERS) 

Mr. Lawrence Balogun obtained his Law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. He started his legal career during the National Youth Service in Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) Chambers.He subsequently joined the law firm of Messrs. Tayo Oyetibo (SAN) & Co. where he was exposed to commercial litigation.He has also worked with the leading telecommuniations law firm of Paul Usoro & Co. There ,he became well grounded in commercial litigation and telecommunications law practice.Afterwards ,he moved over to the law firm of Bayo Ojo & Co.and gained practical experience in Aviation law practice. In order to widen the Scope of his Practice, he joined the firm of EJIDE SODIPO & CO which specializes in Maritime/Admiralty law before joining CANAAN SOLICITORS  as Senior counsel in Charge of litigation and ADR.He leads the litigation and ADR team of the firm.Lawrence enjoys reading and playing tennis.
Abiodun Akanni ABIODUN AKANNI LLB BL (SENIOR COUNSEL)
 

BIODUN graduated from the law faculty of the LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY ,OJO ,LAGOS in 2000.While there ,she distinguished herself and was the president of HOUSE OF JUSTICE CHAMBERS.She thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the nigerian bar in 2002.She joined the firm of CANAAN SOLICITORS in November 2007 after stints in various firms.Her core areas of competency include Litigation ,Arbitration ,Debt Recovery and Insolvency practice.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Institute of Administrators.She is an avid reader ,loves travelling ,dancing and playing table tennis.
Utomiewo Ufuoma UFUOMA OTOMIEWO BL ;LLB (HEAD REAL ESTATE AND LEGAL PROCESSES)
UFUOMA is an alumnus of the pestigious law faculty of the OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY (O.O.U) AGO IWOYE ,where he graduated with a degree in Law.He had his vocational training at the Nigerian Law School and was called o the Nigerian bar in 2008.His drive for knowledge and self development led to his pursuit of further education and he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Maritime Law.Ufuoma joined CANAAN SOLICITORS in 2007 as a youth corps member and has since carved a niche for himself in the real estate department where he has advised clients and handled complex real estate matters including the procurement and processing of certificates of occupancy ,governor’s consent and other title documents.UFUOMA relaxes by playing football n his spare time.
   
Akolade Jamiu AKOLADE JAMIU LLB ;BL (JUNIOR COUNSEL) 

JAMIU studied law in the law faculty of the prestigious OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY and the NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL ;graduating from both with a Second Class (Upper Division) degree.He joind CANAAN SOLICITORS in 2008 as a youth corp member.His core area of competence is Corporate and Commercial law.He enjoys reading ,writing and football.
